Discover Burleigh’s hidden gem JFK Woodfire Kitchen & Bar
The woodfired oven crackles from the open kitchen filling the air with the enticing aroma of freshly cooked pizza and other such delights. Let your nose lead the way to JFK Woodfire Kitchen & Bar in Burleigh Heads.
Snag a seat in the garden and kick back with a chilled beverage as you peruse the plentiful menu at JFK Woodfire Kitchen & Bar. The 16-stong pizza selection offers some seriously mouthwatering options such as wood-roasted pork belly with caramalised pineapple, sage, feta and actual pork crackling and the venue’s specialty, bourbon chicken and bacon topped with a couple of sticky chicken wings. To make the decision even more difficult, JFK also offers gourmet burgers, refreshingly vibrant salads and mains for those who aren’t good at sharing food (don’t worry, we don’t judge you). The superbly tender JFK signature beef and crispy fried cheese ravioli are difficult to pass up. Alongside the extensive selection of nosh, the bar is bursting with craft beers, wine and some tasty cocktail concoctions including The Baz Chillington with gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh chilli, basil and cloudy apple juice.
JFK Woodfired Kitchen & Bar has transformed a previously unutilised space along Tallebudgera Creek Road in Burleigh Heads. The venue is the vision of owner Julie Hamilton while the menu is a joint effort with Julie and head chef Chris Keefe, who brings 13 years industry experience to the table. The words ‘smile, there’s wine’ are inscribed on the back wall but in reality there are plenty more reasons to smile at JFK Woodfire Kitchen & Bar, the wine is just one of them.
